Biography:

Miller Slaughter was raised in Mayfield, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky before receiving his Masters of Management from Northwestern University in Chicago. He has 40+ years of experience in business working in a wide variety of areas. Most of his career was spent in marketing and general management of consumer brands like Maybelline Cosmetics, Coppertone Sun Care and Purex Laundry Detergent. Later, he helped start his own business with a friend. He sold out his portion of the business a few years later and the business continues to operate successfully. Later, Miller become involved in Economic Development helping both State and Local Communities attract and retain businesses. A passion for Small Business and Entrepreneurism was ignited by these experiences which led to his becoming the Director of the WKU Small Business Development Center. Miller has been Director of the WKU SBDC for over 7 years and has help countless small businesses and entrepreneurs start and succeed in Business. He also teaches Marketing and Finance classes on occasion at area universities. Miller has a wife of 46 years, 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
